I have a soul deep reverence for the magic of flowers. Creating images of flowers in fabric in their endless design and color is a way for me to get to know and understand them. I love being outside seeing inspiration around me; using my senses to become aware of bird calls and animal sounds, earth smells, the weather feel of the day. I work only from my own photographs, using a raw edge technique. Constructing the quilt becomes a meditation of thinking about where I've been and what I've seen. I'd like anyone who looks at my quilts to experience some of the wonder and beauty of our natural environment.
